About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Support Associate at our Mental Health Service. As a Support Associate, you will play a vital role in providing support to our customers with mental health needs, helping them to maximise their own potential and live independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, hands-on support to customers, promoting their daily living skills and social inclusion.
  • Encourage customers to develop their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem, and support them in building positive relationships with their community.
  • Work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure customers receive the best possible support, and act as an advocate when required.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for customers, adhering to relevant regulations, procedures, and practices.

Requirements

  • A caring and approachable nature, with a confident 'can-do' attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families, and internal and external agencies.
  • Experience of working as a member of a team, with a positive and accepting approach to customers with diverse needs.
  • Level 2 NVQ Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards.
