Your Role
As a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Automating infrastructure processes to ensure rapid and secure delivery of capabilities.
- Developing Infrastructure as Code to streamline the creation of infrastructure from development to production.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and convey technical information effectively.
- Testing and reviewing code to maintain high standards of governance.
- Ensuring systems are designed with security in mind, adhering to best practices and NCSC secure design principles.
- Managing security for both cloud and on-premises platforms, including administration of secrets and certificates.
- Planning and participating in project management decisions.
- Designing and maintaining secure infrastructure.
- Identifying security risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Integrating security features throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Monitoring infrastructure for security threats and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly in security.
- Strong infrastructure design skills for both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with containerization platforms and provisioning software.
- Experience in automated deployment processes and change management.
- Knowledge of government digital service standards and SaaS, PaaS, IaaS technologies.
