About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at Methods Business and Digital Technology. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, management, and support of the infrastructure that underpins our platforms, applications, and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement infrastructure as code to automate the creation of infrastructure from development to production.
  • Automate deployment of applications, databases, and infrastructure to facilitate rapid delivery of approved capabilities.
  • Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats by implementing secure design principles.
  • Work with the team to ensure development and delivery follows established processes and works as intended.
  • Plan and manage projects, making effective decisions and communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Experience working with infrastructure as code, containerization platforms, and provisioning software.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure design, and threat management.
  • Ability to work with agile delivery methodologies and technical governance.
  • Experience with automated deployment, functional and non-functional testing, and application performance analysis.
  • Understanding of government digital service standards and SaaS, PaaS, IaaS technologies.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Terraform, YAML, and automation tools to build and deploy containerized applications.
  • Knowledge of SAST and DAST tooling in deployment pipelines and on-prem DevOps tooling.
  • Ability to provide training, support, and mentoring to the wider business.
