About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Flood and Coastal Risk Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering packages of work within budget and schedule to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver packages of work within budget and schedule to meet project requirements
  • Understand project scope and identify contractual changes
  • Understand customer requirements and specifications
  • Undertake feasibility assessments, optioneering, outline and detailed design
  • Balance workload of multiple projects
  • Prepare clear and concise deliverables for stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineer with necessary qualifications to achieve IEng MICE or CEng MICE or equivalent
  • Desire to work towards Incorporated or Chartered membership of the ICE, CIWEM or other equivalent institutions
  • Motivated to work on flood and coastal risk management projects, with experience preferred

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of working on flood defence and river restoration projects at various stages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and effective team player
  • Proactive and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Driven to develop and improve technical skills and advance career
