Position Overview:
Avenue Scotland - FALKIRK is seeking a dedicated Procurement Accounts Manager to enhance our operations within the civil and construction sector. The successful candidate will be pivotal in the daily functions of the Procurement department, ensuring that all purchasing activities and administrative tasks are executed with precision and meet established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Procurement Department, managing a team of two staff members.
- Oversee workflow and contribute significantly to the daily operations of the department.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of supplier statements.
- Maintain and update all processes related to the Procurement department.
- Administer supplier accounts, data, and pricing within the system to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Address and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
- Manage and issue Purchase Orders.
- Ensure that all delivery notes received align with Supplier Invoices and Purchase Orders.
- Engage with Suppliers, Sub-contractors, and external authorities.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with Suppliers.
- Prepare specific Monthly Reports.
- Facilitate communication with Suppliers and external authorities, including preparing necessary responses.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance control and administration.
- Prepare and distribute Sub-Contractor Questionnaires.
- Exhibit strong communication skills across all levels.
- Adopt a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
Candidate Profile:
To thrive in this dynamic and demanding role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Proven experience in Procurement, ideally within the Construction sector.
- Ability to impart knowledge through effective training.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and experienced with SAGE 50.
- Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Pragmatic problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with a positive demeanor.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to various situations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to collaborate and support team members.
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with an attractive benefits package. This position operates Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and is fully office-based.
