We are seeking a skilled Reinsurance Wordings Technician to join our Reinsurance Solution practice in a dynamic team of reinsurance professionals at Aon.
Key Responsibilities:- Draft and Review Reinsurance Contracts: Prepare, review, and finalize formal documentation for treaty reinsurance agreements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Contract Wording Expertise: Assist brokers, clients, and markets in resolving issues related to contract wording, providing expert guidance and support.
- Documentation and Correspondence: Draft, review, and endorse documentation for the London Market (London Slips), ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
- Contract Review and Quality Assurance: Review contract documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, ensuring that general processing and quality of assigned accounts comply with team guidelines.
- Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with broker colleagues to review reinsurance contract terms, participate in marketing presentations to prospective and existing clients, and contribute to the maintenance of a library of clauses.
- Industry Knowledge and Training: Monitor statutory positions, regulatory guidelines, judicial decrees, current wording issues, and industry trends affecting reinsurance contracts, and participate in industry training and mentoring programs to gain industry knowledge.
- Education and Experience: Law graduate or experience in the industry, with proven knowledge of (re)insurance practices.
- Communication and Analytical Skills: Excellent written communication skills, including demonstrated/advanced competence in all facets of reading, writing, and communicating in English, and strategic and analytical thinking, including basic math proficiency and problem-solving.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and adaptable to other proprietary systems/applications as demonstrated by previous experience with other platforms.
