Job Description

Forge Talent is currently engaged with a well-established business in the financial sector who are looking to hire a Head of Financial Reporting. The role will be for an initial 12-month period and is based on a hybrid working model. Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following key areas:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of 6 people to ensure effective financial reporting and analysis.
  • Preparing and reviewing full financial statements under UK GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assisting with Statutory audits, aligning with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with the finance and FP&A teams to drive business growth and strategic decision-making.
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure seamless audit processes.
  • Preparing group half and full year financial statements, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Group consolidation and reporting for 10+ global entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Experienced interim finance professional with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with a deep understanding of UK GAAP and financial regulations.
  • A driven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic and keen to drive own development in line with the aims of the project and the business.
  • Worked in a similar role previously, with a proven track record of success.
  • Technically astute, with a strong understanding of financial systems and tools.


The Head of Financial Reporting role offers a competitive salary of up to £90,000 for the right candidate, reflecting the importance of this position in driving business success.
