We are currently seeking a proactive finance professional to join our expanding Business Intelligence team at Hutcheon Mearns. Our Business Intelligence service line focuses on enhancing business acumen, streamlining financial operations, and implementing automation. With a growing demand from clients, we are looking for a dedicated individual to help extend the benefits of our services to a wider audience.

The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with our Business Intelligence team to execute business intelligence projects for our diverse client base and provide support to existing clients. It is essential for the successful candidate to be a qualified Accountant with a minimum of two years' experience and expertise in Microsoft Power BI. Proficiency in data modeling, ETL skills, and DAX knowledge are crucial for this role, along with a strong understanding of financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role may involve face-to-face client meetings, therefore candidates must be able to attend meetings in various locations.

An ideal candidate would also possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Visual Basic macro development, although this is not mandatory. Experience with multiple finance systems would be advantageous.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (qualified by experience considered)
  • Minimum one year experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong Excel skills coupled with robust data analysis experience
