About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a secondary school in Barnet. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing additional support to children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher with managing behaviour, supporting with interventions, and providing additional support to children.
  • Help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.
  • Assist with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to be:

  • Compassionate, understanding, and caring.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Passionate and driven about improving the outcomes for children and young people.
  • Flexible, proactive, and a team player.
  • Understanding of the crucial importance of keeping children and young people safe.
  • Ability to demonstrate at interview the reasons why you want to start a career in education and explain your understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant.
  • Commitment to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.
  • Willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
