About the Role:

The Store Manager is a critical position within Wickes Building Supplies Limited, responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Organizing and working with your team to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Motivating and developing your team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensuring the store is well-stocked and merchandised to meet customer needs.
  • Managing the store's operations, including inventory management, stock control, and cash handling.
  • Providing excellent customer service, responding to customer complaints, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced retail professional with a proven track record of leading a team and achieving sales targets. You will have:

  • Previous experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a retail environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, stock control, and cash handling.
