About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering to join our team at the University of Leicester. As a key member of our School of Engineering, you will play a vital role in establishing a strong research and education program in the fields of electrical and electronic engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop modules in engineering subjects, including Power Systems, Sustainable Energy, Electrical Machines, Transportation, Power Electronics, Electronic Control, and Communications.
  • Contribute to research and innovation in the School's major research areas, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Pursue research and publication opportunities, contributing to the School's reputation for excellence in research and teaching.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Postdoctoral experience in the fields of Power Systems, Sustainable Energy, Electrical Machines, Transportation, Power Electronics, Electronic Control, and Communications.
  • Established reputation for research, with a high-quality publication profile and evidence of fundable research ideas.
  • Excellent networking skills, with the ability to seek out opportunities for collaboration and citizenship, both internally and externally.
