About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Warburtons. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Identify and rectify faults and issues with equipment and processes
  • Work collaboratively with production, safety, and hygiene departments to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Develop and implement new ideas and perspectives to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify and complete continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing plant efficiency, reducing downtime, and saving energy and associated costs
Requirements
  • Electrically biased Engineer preferred with experience of mechanical engineering
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance in preferably a FMCG/ manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with H&S and Food Safety systems and legislation (e.g., PUWER, IOSH)
  • Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
  • Understanding of PLC and control systems (desirable but not essential)
  • Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC, or equivalent)
