As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading on carbon, sustainability, and net zero strategies for our clients. This will involve developing and implementing innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable practices.
Develop Sustainability StrategiesYou will work closely with our clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with their business goals. This will involve conducting thorough assessments of their current sustainability practices and identifying areas for improvement.
Project ManagementYou will be responsible for project managing and coordinating sustainability inputs on major infrastructure projects. This will involve working closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure that sustainability is integrated into all aspects of the project.
Team LeadershipYou will lead and support our team of sustainability and carbon specialists, providing line management duties and supporting team development. This will involve mentoring and coaching team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Bid ProposalsYou will lead the development of bid proposals, helping to author submissions and ensuring win themes are retained throughout. This will involve working closely with our sales team to develop compelling proposals that showcase our expertise and capabilities.
Client RepresentationYou will represent our company at external networks and continue to build our personal, team, and company reputation. This will involve attending industry events and conferences, and engaging with key stakeholders to promote our services and expertise.
Requirements
- Education and Qualifications
You will be educated to degree level in an environmental or engineering related discipline and will be chartered with a recognised relevant professional body.
Experience and KnowledgePrior experience and up-to-date knowledge in some of the following is required: carbon accounting, decarbonisation/net zero roadmaps, sustainability assessments, whole life carbon, sustainability reporting, sustainability strategy, supply chain engagement.
Communication and Presentation SkillsYou will have strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills which can be tailored to a range of audiences, seniorities, and technical competencies.
UK Sustainability and Carbon GuidanceYou will understand UK sustainability and carbon guidance and standards used within infrastructure and in corporate reporting, across both the public and private sector.
