About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Carbon Consultant to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Sustainability and Carbon team, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on how to decarbonize their activities and increase performance across other areas of sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support on carbon, sustainability, and net zero for our existing portfolio of major infrastructure projects and strategic clients.
  • Support the development of innovative carbon and sustainability strategies, designs, solutions, and management plans.
  • Project manage and coordinate sustainability inputs on major infrastructure projects.
  • Represent the company at external networks and build personal, team, and company reputation.
  • Support bid proposals, helping to author our submissions and ensure win themes are retained throughout.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level in an environmental or engineering-related discipline and registration with a recognized professional body.
  • Prior experience and up-to-date knowledge in carbon accounting, decarbonization, sustainability assessments, whole life carbon, and sustainability reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of UK sustainability and carbon guidance and standards.

Additional Information
