Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Content & Localization Manager to oversee the localization of content for our client's products and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing translation and transcreation processes, creating and managing glossaries and style guides, and partnering with internal and external teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and Manage Localization Requirements

Develop and implement a schedule for localizing content in line with the launch plan for all content types.

Manage Translation and Transcreation

Oversee the translation and transcreation of content through external Language Service Providers (LSPs) and freelance translators for multiple languages.

Create and Manage Glossaries and Style Guides

Develop and maintain glossaries and style guides for new languages, ensuring consistency and accuracy in content localization.

Partner with Internal and External Teams

Collaborate with internal operations teams, content teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless localization processes.

Establish Processes and Standards

Develop and implement processes to support teams, develop relationships, and manage end-to-end localization for a portfolio of concurrent programs.

Hold Teams Accountable

Ensure high-quality standards are met by holding teams accountable for their work.

Manage Financial Data

Keep comprehensive records of financial data to ensure project spending remains within budget.

Lead Localization Meetings

Conduct regular localization meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Be the Primary Point of Contact

Serve as the primary point of contact for localization across the company.

Requirements

  • Experience in Localization

At least 3 years of experience in a comparable localization role, either as a project manager or program manager working on language launches, software, and creative content.

Translation and Transcreation Experience

Proven experience managing translation and transcreation through external LSPs and freelance translators for multiple languages.

Glossary and Style Guide Creation

Proven experience creating and managing glossaries and style guides for new languages.

Process Development

Ability to develop and implement processes to support teams, develop relationships, and manage end-to-end localization for a portfolio of concurrent programs.

Team Management

Ability to hold teams accountable for high-quality standards.

Financial Management

Ability to manage financial data to ensure project spending remains within budget.
