Job Overview
At Home Instead, our Care Professionals are the cornerstone of our service. They demonstrate exceptional dedication to our clients, which is why we take great pride in their work. With a minimum visit duration of one hour, our Care Professionals have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and establish strong, trusting relationships with those they assist.
Responsibilities of a Care Professional:
- A positive, empathetic, and proactive attitude towards helping individuals in your community.
- A commitment to a minimum of 10 hours per week, including some availability on alternate weekends.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, which may include assisting clients with shopping, household chores, medication collection, meal preparation, attending appointments, and engaging in hobbies and crafts, as well as providing personal care (such as bathing, dressing, and grooming).
Required Qualifications
While formal qualifications are not mandatory, prior experience in health and social care or customer service is advantageous. We will supply all necessary training for the role.
Strong interpersonal skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each client are essential. A readiness to learn is also crucial, as every client is different and each day presents new challenges.
