About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Dietitian Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Renal and Critical Care Dietetic Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our paediatric dietetic service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive dietetic assessment and management of children with renal disease and critical care needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of education and training programs for junior staff and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the achievement of excellent patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Healthcare Professions Council as a Paediatric Dietitian.
  • Advanced or masters-level postgraduate training in paediatric dietetics.
  • Comprehensive clinical dietetic experience in an acute paediatric NHS hospital setting.
  • Previous knowledge and experience in nutrition support and dietetic management of children in a critical care/renal setting.
  • Specialist knowledge of dietetic assessment and treatment techniques.
  • Experience of and commitment to interdisciplinary team working.
  • Experience of supervision of students and assistants.
  • Understanding of clinical effectiveness and its implications for services.
