Orb Recruitment is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Vehicle Fitters to join our client's workforce in Doncaster.
The RoleDue to rapid growth and a significant increase in workload, our client is looking to add skilled and motivated individuals to their team. While experience is beneficial, this role would be suitable for individuals with a background in production or assembly roles. Additionally, candidates with a passion for manual work or those confident working with their hands (handymen, DIY enthusiasts, car restorers, mechanics, bench joiners, carpenters/joiners, shopfitters) would be ideal for this position.
Key Responsibilities- Internal Fitting: Racking Systems, Flooring, Load Locks, Silicone Fastening, Kitchens, Toilets, Sanitizing Stations, Seating, some wiring and more.
- External Fitting: Control Panel Installation, Stairs, Bay lifts.
- Daily use of Hand & Power tools: Drills, Tape Measure, Screwdrivers, Spanners, Wrenches and more.
- Quality Control: Ensuring products are assembled to tight specifications before being delivered to end customers, requiring a keen eye for detail.
- Working to specific measurements and timelines.
- Advise of any amends to drawings/panels.
- Notify supervisor of potential improvements to build method.
- Carry out duties in line with Health and Safety requirements and make supervisor aware of potential Health & Safety issues.
- Log on and off correct SFDC operation in line with company policy.
- Adhere to relevant ISO / QMS process.
- Experience working to tight measurements and deadlines.
- Experience working with BOTH Hand and Power tools.
- Excellent eye for detail.
- Good understanding of the conversion process, or knowledge of vehicles.
This role offers a 39-hour week, with a starting rate of £12.50 per hour, which could be higher depending on experience and skillset.
