About the Role

Imperial College London is seeking a skilled Legacy Officer to join their Advancement team. This is a diverse role with opportunities for development and learning in a higher education setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage all legacy activity to recruit and steward legacy donors through various channels.
  • Manage legacy administration, including working with academics to allocate gifts to appropriate areas within the university.
  • Provide support and training to Advancement staff on legacy giving and championing this across the university.
  • Partner with the Head of Regular Giving and Legacy Giving to manage a large portfolio of legacy supporters.
  • Steward new and existing legacy pledgers to ensure they remain engaged with the university.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience of working in or knowledge of legacy fundraising.
  • Experience of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, alumni, and donors.
  • Experience of working with databases and/or CRM systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and manage projects effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload.
