Talent Guardian is partnering with a top accountancy firm in Ferndown to find an experienced and dedicated Tax Senior for an 18-month FTC.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our team and provide exceptional service to our clients. As the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate tax solutions, while maintaining strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Portfolio Management: Efficiently manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely completion of all tasks in line with group timelines and procedures.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the main contact for clients, peers, and the wider team, coordinating all required services and maintaining high standards of client satisfaction.
  • Performance and Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets, chargeable hours, and recoverability for the client portfolio. Meet monthly billing targets and control work in progress and debtors, working closely with the credit controller.
  • Client Reviews and Planning: Conduct annual and regular reviews with clients to assess fees, service offerings, and tax planning needs, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Workflow and Efficiency Improvement: Utilise appropriate software and delegate tasks to improve efficiency, while organising and monitoring workflow to keep the team working at optimal levels.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Motivate, mentor, and encourage team members, ensuring they reach their full potential and deliver the required client service.
  • Professional Conduct and Reporting: Uphold the firm's ethics, culture, and values, providing weekly reports to senior management based on key performance indicators and critical success factors.
  • Networking and Client Engagement: Attend networking activities to build and maintain strong client relationships, while actively seeking to understand and meet the broader needs of clients.
