We are looking for a talented and experienced Cost Management Specialist to become a vital part of a well-respected team of Chartered Surveyors. In this role, you will oversee all elements of financial and commercial management for construction initiatives, ensuring projects are executed within budgetary constraints and adhere to the highest quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost projections and financial plans for construction initiatives
  • Conduct feasibility analyses to assess material, time, and labor expenses
  • Administer and negotiate agreements with vendors and subcontractors
  • Track and manage project expenditures throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Compile and present progress updates and financial reports to stakeholders
  • Perform risk evaluations and apply cost control strategies
  • Offer value engineering recommendations to enhance project financial efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with project leaders, architects, and engineers to ensure project success

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Chartered membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Management Specialist
  • In-depth understanding of construction contracts, procurement techniques, and cost management practices
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, CostX, and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective time management skills

Please note: Initially, there will be a requirement to work on-site more frequently as you acclimate to the role; once you are established, you can anticipate the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week.
