Job Title: Component Support Engineer

At Komatsu Australia, we're seeking a highly skilled Component Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in optimising component production and improving the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve component reusability and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with production and reman engineering teams to optimise the component rebuild process
  • Analyse and recommend technical changes to components to reduce inventory and increase flexibility
  • Drive cost savings through predictive planning and analysis of Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Manage and maintain reports and KPIs to measure and analyse component performance
Requirements:
  • Relevant engineering tertiary qualification with at least 3 years of experience in a similar industry
  • Advanced technical knowledge and familiarity with engineering standards, documents, and drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
