Job Description

The Technical Assurance team at SCS Railways is responsible for ensuring compliance with project requirements, facilitating configuration and technical change management, and managing technical assurance activities to achieve self-assured delivery of the HS2 project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define work package requirement sets and plan verification & validation methods to demonstrate compliance.
  • Support activities relating to Technical Assurance, Configuration, and Technical Change Management.
  • Input into identification of correct deliverables for life cycle stages to meet works information and technical standards.
  • Produce and maintain Technical Assurance deliverables for assets and Work Packages.
  • Review quality and completeness of assurance packs and TA documents.
  • Assist with maintaining Configuration Control in relation to technical changes, standards baselines, and work package deliverables.
  • Understand BIM requirements and use multiple quality management platforms.
  • Work with design and construction teams, subcontractors, and subject matter experts to define applicable requirements for each work package.
  • Understand Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes, and statutory requirements.
  • Formal education in an Engineering related subject, such as a Degree, HND, or Apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
  • Experience working within Civil Engineering or Rail.

  • A physical or mental impairment, which has a substantial and long-term effect (over 12 months) adverse effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
