Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Apprentice Level 3

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Middlesex

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and repeatability of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: Verify manufacturing processes are fit for purpose and achieving quality and performance targets.
  • Quality Control: Work alongside Quality Engineers to verify the effectiveness of quality control systems.
  • Training and Development: Develop operating instructions and troubleshooting guides for processes/equipment, and provide training and guidance to colleagues.
  • Production Planning: Create production work and test instructions, and monitor manufacturing processes to identify and justify potential improvements.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize problem-solving techniques, including RCA tools such as Process FMEA, 8D, and control plans, to resolve issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement teams to resolve issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Advanced Apprenticeship, or equivalent work-based experience.
  • Experience: Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within product development in a similar environment, with a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
