Job Title: Vehicle Emissions Test Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Emissions Test Technician to join our team at UTAC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting chassis dynamometer emissions tests on combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles, ensuring they meet regulatory standards.

You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic testing environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative testing methodologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to vehicle emissions testing.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct chassis dynamometer emissions tests on combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles
  • Perform pre-test vehicle inspections to ensure they meet test requirements
  • Set up test equipment, including instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Monitor test procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
  • Analyse emissions test results using specialized software tools
  • Identify any issues or anomalies during testing and troubleshoot accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of all tests performed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative testing methodologies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to vehicle emissions testing
Requirements
  • GSCE grades or equivalent
  • Mechanical/PC qualification
  • Engineering apprenticeship related to motor vehicles (preferred)
