Senior Pricing Analyst

The RAC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Analyst to join their Insurance Pricing Team on a permanent basis. This exciting new role is based in the Bristol office and offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the expectation of being in the office two days a week.
About the RoleThe core function of this role is to develop advanced analysis of insurance data, using mathematical and statistical techniques to inform pricing decisions that ensure profitability is maintained while maximizing growth. Key responsibilities include:
- Running analyses to understand the drivers of trading performance
- Proactively exploring and identifying opportunities for pricing changes that deliver business and customer value
- Developing and maintaining projections of future performance and providing solutions to mitigate pressures on business targets
- Carrying out scenario and sensitivity analyses that inform what-if business questions
- Imagine and develop innovative data assets through proof-of-concept solutions that demonstrate superior value to existing processes
- Discovering and presenting pricing insights to stakeholders from other business areas
- Collaborating with other members of the Pricing team and supporting the development of junior members of the team.

- Highly numerical and comfortable operating in a data-rich environment
- Curious about insurance pricing
- Strong communicator able to work closely and build trust with stakeholders from other business areas
- Able to boil down complex problems into simple and effective business recommendations
- Capable of building powerful narratives with data
- Able to operate (and thrive) in fast-paced environments
- Capable of prioritizing effectively and working under pressure
- Comfortable dealing with uncertainty to develop 'robust' outputs on time
You will need A-level Maths Grade A or above. Experience of insurance pricing or predictive modelling is desirable but not essential. Strong software skills (experience of Excel, SQL, Python or similar) are a bonus.
