Exciting Opportunity as a Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist for a prominent bakery operation. This full-time position involves a structured shift pattern of three days on and three days off.

Working Hours:
  • Day Shift: 6am to 6pm
  • Night Shift: 8am to 8pm

Compensation:
  • Day Rate: £12.97 per hour
  • Night Rate: £16.21 per hour
Overtime opportunities are available at a rate of £18.03 per hour for hours worked beyond the standard daily schedule.

Your Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Technical department by assessing and measuring product and process performance in accordance with legal, quality management systems, BRC standards, and customer specifications.
  • Conducting specific product evaluations such as pH levels, temperature assessments, gas checks, metal detection, and packaging inspections.
  • Performing quality assessments on products before they reach the production line and conducting ongoing evaluations.
  • Reporting any noncompliance issues to the line manager and assisting in implementing corrective and preventive measures.
  • Monitoring cleanliness standards and ensuring compliance with handwashing and personal protective equipment protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring traceability of all quality-related records.
  • Promoting a quality-focused environment by monitoring food safety standards, hygiene practices, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities, along with a high level of integrity and attention to detail. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
