Position Overview: Our client, a prominent entity in the Manufacturing and Engineering domain, is in search of a skilled Technician/Engineer with expertise in RF Testing to become a part of their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing of radar systems and Emergency Radio Beacons in accordance with COSPAS SARSAT / RTCM / IEC / EN testing standards within controlled environments.
  • Perform assessments on AIS and various marine devices utilizing protocol and digital interface methodologies.
  • Document test outcomes through electronic logbook systems and generate comprehensive test reports adhering to company quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates and established Test Plans, contributing to their formulation in collaboration with clients as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with Project Managers and clients to deliver technical assistance and guarantee the prompt and precise execution of assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Level 3 qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficient in utilizing RF testing instruments such as spectrum/network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and RF power meters.
  • Familiarity with analogue and digital communication technologies and networks, including exposure to serial interfaces like RS232.
  • Willingness to undertake offsite work on an occasional basis.
  • Skilled in data manipulation and analysis using Microsoft Excel.
  • Exhibit motivation, enthusiasm, and adaptability in work approach.
  • IT literate, capable of using specialized software and Microsoft applications, including Windows, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate conscientiousness with strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and commercial insight.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
  • Experience in programming and conducting RF accredited testing.
