It connects to your vehicles on-board computer and uses all the live data it produces to analyze how efficiently you are driving. Its similar to how performance is analyzed in Formula 1. Lightfoot turns that data into simple feedback for you the driver so you know when you're pushing your vehicle too far and can bring it back to maximum efficiency.

Beyond the vehicle, our proprietary gamification platform engages users via our app, giving our driver community the opportunity to engage in their performance and to win weekly cash prizes and rewards for achieving Elite Driver standard. Our solutions are highly differentiated from the competition which has helped us secure circa 300 of the UK's largest fleet customers including Tesco, Asda, Southwest Water, Iceland and Virgin Media to name a few.

As a Technical Lead, you'll be in a senior role responsible for leading our Lightfoot web team of 6 developers. Key responsibilities include leading the technical scoping and delivery of many exciting projects, whilst also analyzing and implementing improvements to both development practices and processes as you see fit, making it your mission to remove obstacles blocking the team. You'll work closely with the wider Engineering team, Product, Project, and Design, becoming a trusted advisor who helps improve the product range, reporting to the CTO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product, Project, and Design teams to understand requirements and help translate them into technical solutions using a customer-centric design-led approach
  • Conduct agile ceremonies, leading relevant solution development team(s) to efficient and timely delivery
  • Ensure processes are followed within the web team, including ensuring appropriate documentation
  • Hands-on coding opportunities
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required by the business

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with web and mobile technologies, including a focus on application development is essential
  • Hands-on experience of PHP frameworks including Symfony is essential
  • Experience with cloud platforms including AWS is essential
  • An appreciation of good UI/UX design is beneficial
  • Commercial perspective is beneficial
