Job Title: Lead Capability Engineer (Product Safety)

Role Overview:

As a Lead Capability Engineer, you will collaborate with specialized Product Safety engineering teams involved in the design and production of advanced submarine classes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing resource solutions and conducting SQEP assessments.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across Product Safety and various Engineering Domains.
  • Providing consistent updates on the status of Product Safety capabilities.
  • Identifying strategic and tactical risks through information gathering from engineering teams.
  • Creating Capability Management plans to ensure engineering capabilities are maintained and enhanced.
  • Advancing your own skills and knowledge in Capability Management and Product Safety through tailored training programs.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Degree in STEM or equivalent experience in Safety or Environmental fields.
  • Chartered status or evidence of working towards Chartership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a large engineering organization.
