About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Support Worker, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals with mental health needs
  • Assisting with daily living tasks and promoting independence
  • Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Supporting individuals to access local services and resources

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent qualification or level of experience
  • Willingness to undertake Continuing Personal Development
  • Willingness to complete relevant physical health checks and interventions training
  • Experience of working with clients, the public or both
  • Desirable criteria include experience of mental health, working in physical health care settings, and knowledge of physical/mental health conditions and/or the NHS Long Term Plan for health inequalities
