Job Overview: As part of the Centre of Excellence at Blackburn College, we are seeking dedicated and skilled coaches to deliver high-quality training sessions in basketball and cricket.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and implement engaging coaching activities that promote skill development and progression for all participants.
  • Adapt coaching sessions to cater to players of varying abilities, ensuring inclusivity and support for those with specific needs.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance player performance, focusing on both strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with relevant partners to ensure a comprehensive development pathway for learners.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a minimum of Level 2 Coaching qualification and demonstrate a successful history of enhancing player performance through effective support and development strategies. A thorough understanding of technical and tactical elements of the sports is essential.

Additional Requirements: A full clean driving license is necessary, as the role includes transportation for teams to away fixtures.

Compensation: The position offers an hourly rate of £16.80, plus an additional £4.00 holiday pay per hour. This is a temporary role, with contracts running until June 2025.

Payment Structure: All hourly paid staff will receive their wages in the month following the hours worked, with holiday pay accrued and distributed three times a year.
