About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical/Neuro Psychologist to join our team at Adderley Green, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.

As a Clinical/Neuro Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality direct and indirect specialist psychological interventions, including assessments, therapeutic sessions, and risk assessments. You will work closely with the Consultant Psychologist and other multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans that meet the complex needs of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide initial assessment service users referred to the service.
  • Develop and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients' mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
  • Work therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertaking assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods.
  • Maintain high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Company Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hold a BPS recognised psychology degree.
  • Be HCPC registered.
  • Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications.
  • Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division.
  • Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice.
  • Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a clinical/neuro setting.
  • Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits.
  • Have previous experience of conducting research and project working.
