Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at KP Snacks. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all work complies with safety regulations
- Perform inspections and maintenance to ensure the mechanical and electrical integrity of our equipment
- Monitor and report equipment performance, managing downtime and identifying trends
- Recommend and implement improvements to processes and work standards, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency
- Collaborate with colleagues and other shifts to ensure smooth handovers and clear documentation

Requirements- Formal qualification to at least City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline with corresponding practical experience
- Experience of pneumatics or PLC's is advantageous, as is the ability to clearly understand engineering drawings, symbols and notation
- Knowledge of COSHH to legislative standards is essential
- Continuous improvement experience/Lean tools/techniques is desirable
