Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly created and developing partnership team working with individuals experiencing rough sleeping and other complex health, housing, and social issues.

Main Duties
  • To take an applied psychology stance to working with individuals, teams, and organisations, in order to inform psychological ways of working within and across services.
  • To input to the partnership team for Multiple Complex Needs, including direct partners Adult Social Care (ASC) and Change Grow Live (CGL) substance misuse service.
  • To work with senior management, commissioners, and partners to implement NICE guidelines NG214 'Integrated Health and Social Care for people experiencing homelessness' within the Trust, the team, and wider services.
  • To take an active role in promoting the psychological health and well-being of clients and carers.
  • To directly provide and coordinate highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention services to individuals/groups/organisations, using a variety of applied psychology models.
  • To work in unconventional clinical environments (rough sleeper sites, supported housing, partner agency units, in the community etc) to deliver support to individuals with complex emotional needs.
  • To work with direct partners, team, senior management, commissioners, and partners to implement NICE guidelines NG214 'Integrated Health and Social Care for people experiencing homelessness' within the Trust, the team, and wider services.

Job Responsibilities
  • To carry a caseload and provide a direct service for psychological issues which demand more than a standard therapeutic approach.
  • To draw appropriately from a range of assessment tools and methodologies, to interpret and integrate complex data and information from a variety of sources to develop psychological formulations and identify the most relevant intervention strategy.
  • To monitor and evaluate progress, refining formulations and interventions as necessary, to assess and manage risk within an appropriate psychological framework.
  • To maintain appropriate records in electronic or hard copy in line with Trust policies and Professional guidelines, including workload data and using word processing skills to produce client-related reports.
  • To work primarily within a multi-disciplinary approach/team where a variety of opinion and expertise is brought to bear on a situation.
