Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Shrewsbury. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work one-to-one with a Key Stage 2 child who requires additional support due to behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised support to the child, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that the child's needs are met.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, reporting back to the class teacher and other relevant staff.
Requirements:
  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children who have additional needs, particularly behavioural needs.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably with 6+ months of experience.
  • Updated and clean DBS on the update service.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
