Payroll Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at Macildowie Recruitment and Retention. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple sites in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and on-time payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure statutory deductions, such as tax and National Insurance, are processed correctly and submitted on time.
  • Perform thorough checks of payroll data and reports, maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external bodies, such as pension providers and local councils, and provide payroll-related reports as needed.
  • Support month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations and audits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide cover for key tasks as required.
About You:
  • Essential: Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills and experience dealing with external bodies such as pension advisors and auditors.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP or People XD is advantageous but not required.
