Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at Macildowie Recruitment and Retention. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple sites in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the full end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and on-time payroll for all employees.
- Ensure statutory deductions, such as tax and National Insurance, are processed correctly and submitted on time.
- Perform thorough checks of payroll data and reports, maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external bodies, such as pension providers and local councils, and provide payroll-related reports as needed.
- Support month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations and audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide cover for key tasks as required.
- Essential: Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.
- Ability to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Strong communication skills and experience dealing with external bodies such as pension advisors and auditors.
- Knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP or People XD is advantageous but not required.
- Salary: £28,000 + annual bonus and pay review.
- 27 days of annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional holidays.
- Hybrid working (2 days from home) and an early finish every Friday.
