Job Overview:

Emotiv Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the development of engineering activities, including the prototype manufacture of items such as wiring harnesses, as well as the maintenance of electrical solutions for our new and existing vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, diagnose, repair, and maintain high/low voltage electrical and electronic systems of our client's vehicles.
  • Work with a range of prototype and production vehicles, as well as supporting HiL and other laboratory-based testing.
  • Utilize a variety of electrical and electronic tools to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical and electronic systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical and electronics engineering, with a focus on automotive or electric vehicle systems.
  • Proven experience of integrating electrical and electronic systems and components into various automotive platforms with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Direct experience of delivering electrical content of an electric vehicle project is highly desirable.
  • Thorough practical understanding of automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, and electronic control units (ECUs).
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies, including HiL and laboratory-based testing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IMI Level 4 (HaV) qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience with electrical and electronic systems in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools and technologies.
