Job Title: Digital Simulation Engineer

At Affluent Technology Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering development projects, you will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage electrical components and power electronics modules using advanced Matlab Simulink and Simscape modeling skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Modeling and Simulation: Develop and validate mathematical equations and Simscape library-based electrical and electro-thermal models of high voltage electrical components in MATLAB.
  2. Collaboration and Analysis: Collaborate with component and system teams to understand CAD drawings and properties of high voltage components and high voltage system architecture. Analyze performance of high voltage components through simulation.
  3. Validation and Optimization: Simulate and validate use cases/requirements in MIL and SIL environments. Optimize high voltage component sizing and high voltage architecture for enhanced performance using simulation.
  4. Documentation and Presentation: Write reports, documentation, and present data at all levels across the organization. Interface directly with clients on technical issues when required.
  5. Testing and Development: Create testing methods, including test models for each new system/sub-system. Present results and designs through both written reports and oral presentations.
  6. Process Improvement: Promote a culture of sharing best practices and process improvement. Support the design and development workstreams within the scope of the engineering development projects.
  7. Quality and Integration: Conduct analysis/simulations and development with utmost quality within an agile framework. Integrate dynamic and static attribute targets into the product design assessment.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with knowledge of EMAG, Power Electronics, and HV Systems; 5+ years of experience preferred in the relevant domain.
  2. Technical Skills: Advanced Matlab Simulink and Simscape modeling skills; good understanding of high voltage electrical components. Experience in electrothermal modeling in Matlab Simulink.
  3. Domain Expertise: Experience in developing high voltage electrical components (motor, battery cell, etc.) and power electronics modules modeling in Matlab Simulink. Experience in PCB and electronics components simulation.
  4. Testing and Analysis: Experience in digital test environments (MIL and SIL testing). Experience in test/simulation data analysis.
  5. Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of xEV and its powertrain architecture.
