Job Opportunity

SRM Recruitment is working with a leading brand to recruit a Head of Procurement to build a best-in-class procurement function to support the business.

The company is currently undergoing a transformation, resulting in an exciting opportunity to lead and structure the procurement team and strategy.

As a market leader in the industry, the company has ambitious long-term growth plans. We are seeking a professional who enjoys the challenge of building from the ground up, strives for continuous improvement, and enjoys developing their team.

The Role:

  • Coach and mentor the current team of 4 with a view to increasing this to 10.
  • Lead the procurement department to become a trusted function within the business operationally supporting all sites across Europe.
  • Manage the delivery of the full procurement lifecycle.
  • Assess and manage new and existing suppliers, regularly updating the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) to ensure quality and reliable supply chain operations.
  • Oversee all commercial governance processes and management of all live contracts.
  • Implement and promote procurement and supply chain best practices throughout the business.
  • Scope 3 Emissions reporting.
  • Act as a trusted partner for all stakeholders, ensuring the procurement function partners with them to deliver the overall strategy.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in procurement transformation and/or sustainable procurement.
  • Minimum 10 years of applicable experience working at a senior level.
  • A degree related to one of the following: Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or similar disciplines.
  • Has achieved at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.

  • Hybrid working arrangement (3 days minimum in the office per week).
