Accounts Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team in a creative environment. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing and processing sales and purchase ledger transactions, handling bank transactions and reconciliations, and overseeing stock control and transaction management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sage Processing: Manage and process all sales and purchase ledger transactions through Sage.
  • Bank Transactions: Handle posting bank transactions and bank reconciliation.
  • Stock Control: Transfer data from Linnworks to Sage.
  • Transaction Management: Oversee numerous mini transactions for various companies within our group.
  • Expense Management: Run expenses for the field sales team and manage credit card reconciliations.
  • Currency: Work in a multi-currency environment with full training provided.
Requirements:
  • Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, particularly in V-lookups and pivot tables.
  • Sage Experience: Previous experience with Sage is desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data inputting and reconciliations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work on varied tasks including inter-company accounts and internal management.
  • Team Player: Someone who is a team player, able to work collaboratively and keep things running smoothly.
  • Retail Accounting: Ideal candidates will have a background in retail accounting, especially with third-party sellers like Amazon and eBay.
  • Qualifications: AAT level 3 and above would be ideal but not essential.
  • Discretion: Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
  • Driving: Due to the rural location of our offices, it is essential that you drive and have your own car.
