About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled 2nd Line Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd. As a 2nd Line Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems with equipment and/or systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote-based end-user support to troubleshoot issues and problems with equipment and/or systems.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Set up accounts for new users.
- Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
- Test new technology.
- Administer Microsoft 365.
- Perform upgrades and updates to existing hardware and software platforms.
- Manage internal and hosted software platforms such as Azure/365.
- Maintain and update technical documentation regularly.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within an IT support role.
- Hands-on experience of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, laptop hardware, Dell/HP server hardware, and Azure or 365 management.
- Good understanding of networking components such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Have either managed directly or been heavily involved in software or hardware deployment projects.
