About the Role

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dietetic Support Worker to join our Renal Nutrition and Dietetic team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the renal dietetic team in providing a comprehensive service to renal inpatients and outpatients.
  • Review patients' nutritional intake and develop personalized care plans in collaboration with registered dietitians.
  • Monitor patient progression and make adjustments to care plans as needed, within established protocols and scope of practice.
  • Refer patients who require specialized care or are experiencing deterioration to registered dietitians for further assessment and management.
  • Work independently with supervision from registered dietitians, utilizing your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to administrative tasks, including office organization and preparation of agendas and meeting notes.

Requirements

  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  • Qualifications to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Previous healthcare experience or experience in a food-related environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
