Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our Energy Division Financial Control team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities- Cash Collection and Management: Work alongside the Financial Controller to deliver and improve cash collection and management within the division.
- Support in Other Areas: Provide support in other areas as required, mainly around VAT returns and ad-hoc accounting projects.
- Quality Focus: Maintain a high standard of work and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Day-to-Day Credit Control: Perform day-to-day credit control and cash activities in the Energy Division.
- Liaison with Internal Teams: Liaise with internal finance and relationship managers to ensure billing and validation processes are completed in required timeframes.
- Liaison with Shared Service Centre: Liaise with our internal Shared Service Centre to ensure invoices are raised and cash is allocated correctly.
- Cash Flow Forecasts: Support in the preparation of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts with clear commentary on variances.
- VAT Returns: Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns.
- Process Improvement: Help review, improve, and expand processes to ensure cash collection is as efficient as possible across the energy division.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including rolling forecasts.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Other ad-hoc projects as required.
- Credit Control Experience: Proven experience in credit control.
- Relationship Management: Strong relationship management skills, establishing and maintaining strong business relationships.
- Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Oracle is desirable.
- Work Style: Ability to work smart, quickly, and efficiently. Team effort approach, flexible attitude towards tasks and working.
- Screening and Vetting: Must be able to pass our screening and vetting standards, provide up to 5 years' employment history, and pass a DBS check.
