Job Title: UK Transition Specialist

Aon is seeking a skilled Transition Specialist to join our team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing transition management exercises covering our UK Retirement & Investment Business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recommend optimal transition strategies to minimize costs and risk.
  • Evaluate the need for an external transition manager and conduct ongoing due diligence.
  • Maintain knowledge of developments within the transition management industry and regulatory updates.
  • Assist client consultants in deciding the right course of action for each transition.
  • Provide oversight and support during transition when needed.
  • Maintain a log of transition activity conducted on behalf of Aon Hewitt clients.
About the Role:

This role will provide the opportunity to work directly with our vast Advisory and OCIO client base and internal teams to supervise the asset transition process across the UK practice. This is a critical role within Aon that will allow you to lead from day one and gain exposure across multiple teams within our business.

Requirements:
  • Experience in working on in-house Transition exercises and/or working with external Transition Managers.
  • Good investment knowledge and experience in the investment industry.
  • Knowledge of operational aspects of different investment account structures.
  • Understanding of how to maintain market exposure through matching liquidity timeframes and/or derivatives.
  • Familiarity with the role of custodians/trustees in opening accounts, safekeeping assets, accounting/reporting, settling trades, and use of sub-custodians in international markets.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently on a variety of projects.
