About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Performance Specialist to join our team at Bombarbier. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site supplier assessments to evaluate their performance and ensure compliance with quality control and assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control Process Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of supplier quality control processes and procedures to ensure products meet industry standards and requirements.
  • Yield Performance Review: Review supplier yield performance, including costs associated with poor quality, inspection costs, re-work percentages, and scrap percentages.
  • Quality Management Systems Review: Examine the tools and systems used by suppliers to log quality and non-conformance issues and finalize product dispositions.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Identify Gaps and Improvement Opportunities: Identify areas for improvement in supplier quality management processes to ensure adherence to item specifications and enhance supplier performance.
  • Assist in Report Preparation: Collaborate with the team to prepare supplier assessment reports and scorecards outlining risks, issues, and mitigation steps from a quality perspective.
  • Log and Track Supplier Risks: Maintain a log of manufacturing-related supplier risks and agreed-upon corrective and improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work with team members to track and resolve recurring supplier issues and risks.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in quality management, control, or product/process engineering in an industrial manufacturing environment, or equivalent work experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Skills: Excellent relationship management skills, strong business acumen, and ability to link capability assessment outcomes to business objectives.
  • Technical Skills: Strong data analysis and synthesis skills, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications, including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
  • Travel Requirements: 30% travel required.
