About the Role

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Deputy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our nursery and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management team in the daily running of the nursery, including leadership of the team and responsibility for everyday management responsibilities in the absence of the Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • Assist in the operation of the nursery facilities and staff, ensuring a high-quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is always delivered.
  • Responsible for company adherence to Banana Moon policies and procedures, consistently meeting legislative requirements and following education curriculum, delivering standards which ensure the highest possible inspection grading.
  • Support the training, support, mentoring, role modelling, and supervision of staff, inspiring and leading ambitious practice.
  • Create a safe, caring, and welcoming setting in which families are happy to entrust their child and where their child is encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment.
  • Promote a successful business with a first-class reputation, engaging with the local community and marketing the nursery while providing excellent customer care.
Requirements
  • A full and relevant level 3 qualification as a minimum.
  • DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
  • Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate.
  • Safeguarding training and qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 year's post-qualifying experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year's leadership experience.
