About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Protection Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy Limited. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing protection designs, solutions, and technical feedback to contracts in all areas within the business area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement protection designs for 13.9kV to 400kV associated with LTS
  • Create protection and control designs for LVAC, LVDC, and UPS equipment associated with LTS
  • Conduct C.T./V.T. and cable sizing calculations
  • Design and configure relay systems and associated documentation
  • Produce Engineering and Test Specifications for new and existing solutions
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews for technical recommendations
  • Develop protection Compliance Matrices, Design Intent Documents, Equipment Technical Specifications, and Functional Design Specifications
  • Contribute to the production of design risk assessments for all design solutions
Requirements
  • Experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry
  • Knowledge of the latest Transmission and Distribution standards and technologies
  • Understanding of protection scheme application and primary plant
