Research and Development Manager

We are partnering with a leading FMCG company to find an exceptional Research and Development Manager to join their team in Newtownards.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the R&D Department, playing a key role in shaping and implementing R&D strategy, managing and developing R&D processes throughout the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving innovation and continuous product and process improvements
- Adding value and service to customers in line with the business mission, vision, and values
- Managing key customer relationships and demonstrating commercial acumen
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Project Management experience
- Manufacturing process experience
- Degree or HND in Food Science/Technology, Food Nutrition and Health, or Food Safety and Quality Management, or equivalent industry experience at Manager level
- Two years' experience in food preparation
- Natural flair and interest in cooking and experimenting with food
While not essential, it would be great if you have:
- Catering/Food Hygiene qualification
- Previous product development experience in a food factory
