Salary and Benefits
Starting salary of £34,602 per annum, with an additional £455 per month for late shift allowance, a potential 10% bonus, and 25 days of annual leave in addition to bank holidays. Participation in a defined contribution pension scheme is also included.

Role Responsibilities
As an Operations Area Supervisor, you will oversee a dynamic mail centre, managing operations across various manual and automated sectors within the facility.

Key Duties
Leading a committed team of over 30 full-time and part-time employees, along with agency personnel, you will conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings, evaluating performance and planning daily activities. You will be responsible for managing your team's attendance, training, and sick leave while fostering an environment that promotes high performance.

Implementing health and safety protocols, enhancing operational efficiency, and pinpointing areas for improvement will be crucial aspects of your role. In collaboration with the Shift Manager, you will ensure exceptional service delivery to our customers and meet all operational objectives.

  • Experience in managing and supporting a large team to optimize performance (essential).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to motivate team members to achieve high standards.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of enhancing performance and meeting KPIs.
  • Experience in implementing changes and successfully guiding teams through transitions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving, utilizing data to identify performance trends and develop solutions.
  • Adept at building effective working relationships with various stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Background in logistics or parcel distribution is advantageous.

Attendance Requirements
The working pattern is Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 22:12, with some flexibility needed to accommodate operational demands.
